Maggie K de Monde

Songwriter, composer, singer, adventurer, mountain climber, chatterbox and occasional blogger. Currently working on the release of my new Scarlet Fantastic album REVERIE, June 2016 release. A collection of songs inspired by my life events, my travels, nature and dreams, all underpinned with my natural sense of drama. Exciting!!! Started off performing to myself in the mirror around the age of 3 at my kindergarten on a Fri afternoon (dressing up day) Always loved performing! I was in the Birmingham Youth Theatre aged 12 but got kicked out eventually for non stop talking. Wrote my first song "Gloriana" when I was 14. Studied drama for a while at Kent Uni but gave it up to pursue my pop career which started with Duran supports & went on to having 2 chart bands in the '80s, Swans Way (Soul Train-Fugitive Kind album) & Scarlet Fantastic (No Memory- 24hours album). Have since been signed as a writer to Pete Waterman's All Boys Music, owned a night club in London & performed & promoted nights there. Released albums, "Pilots of the Impossible," "Club Silencio-Mighty K featuring Crabbi from Pop Will Eat Itself" and most recently "Union-Maggie & Martin." Have presented radio & TV shows (love that!!) & written music for high profile TV campaigns. I'm currently collaborating on songs for other artists, making disco records with Japanese DJ's "Kill the Hero featuring Maggie K de Monde" & composing production music. The list goes on, I'm always up for a new challenge, boundless energy girl!! Love deserts & mountains. Love people ,Love music, Love life. My husband and musical partner, Leif, is on dialysis and we are learning how to adjust but still keep our passion and celebration of life.
