Marissa Burgess has spent 14 years following and bothering comedians under the guise of comedy journalist. She's used the titles of comedy editor at City Life magazine and main comedy writer for the Manchester Evening News to hide her terrible addiction to stand ups. Since 2003 she has been travelling to the Edinburgh Fringe to provide comedians with unwanted star ratings on their shows.
Though she 'performs' in an entirely talentless and clothes-less manner in Arthur Smith's shows she has no intentions to take up stand up and any laughs derived from her appearance on stage are purely accidental.
This year she is reviewing for the List, is once again prancing like an idiot in Arthur's show and trying not to get strangled in the night by the comedians also living in her flat.
