Mariwan Hama-Saeed is an Arthur Koenig Fellow at Human Rights Watch, where he covers Bahrain. Before joining HRW he worked for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) in Iraq. He has also worked as the Middle East and North Africa research associate for the Committee to Protect Journalists, in New York. He holds an MA in journalism from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
