Martin Scott is a Lecturer in Media and International Development specialising in analysis of the production, content and reception of UK media coverage of developing countries. His current research focuses on media literacy, the role of popular culture in engaging young people in politics and he has recently finished a PhD concerned with the mediation of distant others.
