Postgraduate Scholar in 19th and 20th Century Irish Literature

Matthew Reznicek is an international postgraduate researcher in the School of English at Queen’s University Belfast. His doctoral research analyzes nineteenth- and twentieth-century Irish women writers’ representation of capitalism and urban space in Paris and Rome. Matthew’s academic research interests include Irish women’s writing both in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, literary geography, representation of capitalism, gender and queer theory, Marxist cultural materialism, and urban studies. Outside of academia, Matthew continues to remain involved in Democratic politics in his home state of Texas.
