Ex-service woman and para-athlete
Maurillia Simpson served in the British Army for eleven years, injuring her left leg during service. She has since competed in a various sport competitions, starting with the first Warrior Games in 2012. This year, Maurillia won gold and sliver medals at the Invictus Games. She lives in the former Olympic Village, now East Village, in Stratford.
