Mpumi Mlambo started her radio career in 2013 at VOW (Voice Of Wits) FM, before moving to the popular talk show radio station POWERFM in 2015. A couple of months earlier before landing a radio gig at POWER FM, she was nominated twice at the MTN RADIO AWARDS and she won an award for Best Breakfast Show Presenter in the year 2015. Competing in a male-dominated category and winning it was a life-changing moment for Mpumi Mlambo. In 2016 and 2017, Mpumi Mlambo was invited on ETV’s youth shows called Frenzy and Sistahood, as a prominent contributor on issues that affect young black South Africans. Mpumi’s keen interest in being a TV host, afforded her an opportunity to host the red carpet for the Biggest Comedy Show in the country, the Blacks only Comedy Show owned by David Kau. A month later after hosting this year’s Blacks Only Comedy Show, she was announced as the Top 6 finalists of SABC1 ‘s Mzansi Insider Presenter Search. Over 3000 people gathered in Johannesburg to audition for this presenter search and we are proud to say Mpumi Mlambo was announced at one of the Top 6 finalists on SABC 1’s Mzansi Insider!
