Myleene has travelled to see the charities work in impoverished parts of Bangladesh, meeting children and their families who are helped by Save the Children.
Speaking about her role, Myleene said “Having spent time meeting children who are in such desperate and sad positions, I feel enormously humbled to be an ambassador for Save the Children.”
“As a mother of two young children myself, I understand only too well that nothing in life is more important than the health and wellbeing of your children. Following the birth of her beautiful baby girl Ava, Myleene returned to work in the autumn of 2007 to host her own ITV1 prime time show 'Saturday Night Divas', finishing off an extraordinary year hosting BBC1's live end of year show 'New Year Live'.
2008 kicked off with the release of Myleene's first book, a candid pregnancy diary 'My Bump and Me'. The collection proved a massive success with record sales following the brand's London launch. So successful was the first collection that Myleene will release a much anticipated follow up in spring 2009.
January 2009 saw Myleene launch Pantene Pro V's 'Volume and Body collection.' She can be seen beautifully playing her own interpretation of Daft Punk's 'Aerodynamic' on the national TV ads, and is featured in a series of gorgeous print and billboard adverts across the UK. February sees her return to primetime TV with Channel 4's '10 Years Younger: The Challenge'. The programme, where two women go head to head each week with one goal - to look younger, is already proving a ratings winner, cementing Myleene's status as one of UK TV's biggest draws.
With her exotic looks (her mother is Filipino, her father Austrian/English), her extraordinary talent, and her passion for the entertainment industry, Myleene is a girl made more articulate and feisty by her experiences.
