Life coach, specialising in coaching children
I believe I am the only Life Coach in the UK that works with children as young as six years old. Having worked informally with children for many years, helping them work through their emotional and behavioural problems, coaching children is the perfect vocation for me. I constantly coach my own children and they are very receptive to it!
I have been a Life Coach for Children since 2004 and am very passionate about my work. I love helping children see that there is more than one way to solve a problem – there are lots! Some are common sense and practical but most are innovative, creative and original.
If children are committed to the coaching process and are willing to take responsibility for their actions (sometimes half the battle) then the ideas discussed in sessions can really help to change their behaviour, thoughts and feelings for the better. They can feel an immediate positive change in their lives.
I trained at The Centre for Coaching and Stress Management in Blackheath and I am a Member of the Association for Coaching. I practice under their Code of Ethics and Practice.
I work face to face with children and also do Skype telephone coaching. I run workshops for children and am an agony aunt for radio and several websites including
www.onlydads.org ; and
www.lauraandlouise.co.uk. ; I am part of a regular radio parenting show for 3 Counties Radio and I write for many parenting, teenage and womens magazines. I am a motivational speaker, media spokesperson and I am involved in helping give children a voice in divorce through a Government backed initiative.
I regularly attend courses on parenting, I have mental health awareness knowledge and a qualification in nutrition which I know helps when I am working with children. I also have a wealth of experience working with children who have learning difficulties and ADHD mainly helping them with listening and communication skills.
