Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane is Senior Programmes Officer for Resources and Conflict at War on Want, where he works to support communities in the Global South which are resisting the plunder of their natural resources and violations of their rights by multinational companies. He previously spent three years working in Colombia for a Colombian human rights NGO which works to empower rural indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities to defend their human rights in the face of state repression and violence. He also worked on capacity building projects with Colombian trade unions on behalf of the Northern TUC, which has strong solidarity links with trade unions and social movements in Southwest Colombia.
