Paulo Casaca taught economics in the Azores and Lisbon universities; was a Ministerial chief of cabinet; served his country's diplomacy as an economics adviser; was a member of the regional Azorean and Portuguese parliaments and a member of the European Parliament for ten years. He currently directs two international politics associations in Brussels and writes extensively on religious fanaticism and economics. He is presently engaged with Euro-Reform 2014 Initiative.
