Claudia Eberlein is Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Sussex. She obtained an undergraduate and Masters degree from the
University of Leipzig, Germany, and gained her doctorate at the University of Sussex, UK. After that she held posts at Urbana-Champaign, IL and Newnham College, Cambridge, UK, before returning to Sussex, initially on a Royal Society University Research Fellowship. She lives
with her partner and has two school-age children.
