Ian Robertson is a neuropsychologist and author of
The WInner Effect: The Science of Success and How to Use It. He is Professor of Psychology at Trinity College Dublin and visiting professorship at University College London and was previously a Fellow of Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge and visiting professor at Columbia University New York. He was founding Director of Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience and a member of the Royal Irish Academy. He is director of the NIEL programme (Neuroenhancement for Inequalities in Elder Lives -

A graduate of Glasgow University, he gained his Masters (Clinical Psychology, Institute of Psychiatry) and Doctoral (neuropsychology) degrees at the University of London. His research focuses on the neuropsychology of attention and frontal lobe function, brain and cognitive rehabilitation and aging: he has more than 200 published books and articles in this field.
