Rachel Heath was born in Bristol in 1968. Her first novel The Finest Type of English Womanhood was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award 2009 and for the Author's Club Prize 2010. Her second novel, Part of the Spell, will be published by Hutchinson on 16th August 2012. She lives in Bath with her husband, three children and one dog.
