Ray McGroarty

Ray McGroarty is Global Director for Enterprise UC Solutions where he is responsible for ensuring that the benefits of Polycom's solutions and those of its strategic partnerships are well understood by all global market stakeholders, particularly as they apply to the wide variety of enterprise applications available. The role is also responsible for driving the global market requirements back into Polycom to ensure an optimum fit between the market and the solution portfolio.

McGroarty has vast experience of the sector spannng over 20 years. He has fulfilled a a wide range of roles, from development engineer on the first generation video communication products in the 1990’s, through engineering management and over the last ten years product management and marketing management on the leading edge products within Polycom’s voice and video portfolio. Roles with Polycom have ranged from System Quality Assurance through Pre-Sales engineering and marketing management. This has provided McGroarty with a deep understanding of the technology as well as the dynamics of the market over the last two decades.

Prior to Polycom he was Design Group Leader at Motorola, responsible for desktop video applications. Previously, McGroarty held a number of positions within the industry with a focus on CAE, data communications and voice coding technologies.

McGroarty is based in the Polycom EMEA headquarters in Slough and London in the UK and holds a B.Eng (Hons) from Dublin City University and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
