Razan Alsous, a Syrian refugee who fled to Yorkshire in 2012. Unable to secure a job relevant to her pharmacy degree, Razan used her chemical knowledge to produce Yorkshire Dama Cheese, Halloumi which has since won numerous awards, landing Razan an appearance on BBC 1’s James Martin’s cooking show and a meeting with Princess Ann.
