Ricky Martin

Ricky Martin is an Honours Degree qualified Biochemist, member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, who has over a decade’s experience in scientific recruitment. After graduating from Cardiff University he started his career placing a range of technical experts in to scientific companies across the UK with a focus on mainly entry to mid-level appointments.

Ricky was announced the winner of The Apprentice in June 2012 and has since set up a successful recruitment business, Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS), following a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar. HRS is focused on mid-level to senior appointments for the science and technology industries across the European Union. In just the past four years HRS have established themselves as one of the UK’s leading scientific recruitment partners who are growing revenues and expanding its operation year on year.

With his credentials as a scientist, in addition to qualifications in professional recruitment practice, Ricky has become a major player in providing recruitment services across the science and technology sectors, known for its excellence in customer service and compliance.

As commitment to these standards Ricky is now Vice Chair of The Life Sciences committee for the UK’s largest professional body for UK recruitment businesses.
