Rosary Abot is on secondment to the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering from BP, a QEPrize founding donor company. She is a corrosion engineer and has worked at the Whiting Refinery, in industrial labs, and in academic bioengineering research. Outside of work, she teaches children about economics and talks to them about how great engineering is. She enjoys sharing science and engineering with everyone, especially through the Society of Women Engineers. She has lived in the US, the UK, Mongolia, and the Philippines, holds degrees in chemical engineering and philosophy, and writes freelance.
