Liberal Democrat MP for Brent Central and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Refugees
Sarah Teather is the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Brent Central. She is currently a member of the Joint Committee on Human Rights and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Refugees. Sarah was first elected to Parliament following victory in a by-election in September 2003 and from May 2010 until September 2012 was Minister of State for Children and Families. During that time she had responsibility for early learning and development, child care and children's centres, special educational needs, disabled children, young carers and child poverty.
