Sarita Ranchod

Research and International Development Practitioner

For the last twenty years, Sarita Ranchod’s work on women’s rights, gender-based violence and human rights has included working with UN agencies like the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women, UN Development Programme, UNICEF and UN Office on Drugs and Crime (GBV). She also works with civil society organisations like Oxfam and the One in Campaign. She heads up Under the Rainbow – Creative Strategies for Positive Change, with Sonja Boezak. At Rhodes, she was active in progressive student movements. She completed her MA in Gender & Development (Institute of Development Studies, Sussex University, UK) as a Nelson Mandela Scholar.
