Filmmaker and director
Sasha Rainbow is an award winning director. Her first award winning documentary Kofi and Lartey, set on one of the world’s biggest electronic waste dumps in Ghana, is currently being developed into a feature. Kamali, her second short doc, won in three Academy qualifying festivals and is now shortlisted for a Bafta. Sasha is part of the BFI Network X BAFTA Crew 2018 and 2019. She attended Yaddo artists residency in 2019 where she worked on developing her first NZ based fiction feature film. For the past two years she has been focusing on narrative film to highlight social causes, which has taken her around the world to places such as Ghana, India, Romania and Thailand.
