Sediko Rakolote has extensive working experience in Government, Corporate sector and Non-Governmental organizations performing various responsibilities at various levels. He worked in AngloGold Ashanti Mine, Gauteng Department of Social Development, LoveLife Organization, Ndlovu Care Group Organization, Sports Coaches Outreach Organization, Tshikululu Social Investment - De Beers Consolidated Mines Funds and Trust Portfolio & Hotazel Manganese Mines Trust portfolio, Wesizwe- Bakubung Platinum Mine to mention few. In all the roles, he has been in the forefront of championing community participation and socio-economic transformation biased towards women, youth and persons with disability. A proponent of participatory democracy who is knowledgeable in stakeholder relations trained in arbitration and mediation and also in Public Policy, Public Service delivery, Cooperative Governance, Project Management, Public Finance Management and Public Human Resource Management. Rakolote is a passionate writer who co-authored a chapter on “Community services” in a book titled “A model for Integrated Health, Child and Community Care in Rural South Africa” published by Ndlovu Care Group and VU university press, Amsterdam in 2010. He obtained Masters in Public Administration from the University of South Africa. He is currently Commissioner at the Commission for Gender Equality and a board member of the International Association for Public Participation Southern Africa.
