Selena Sandeluss

Cancer Nurse, Mum & Dyslexic

Selena has been a Registered nurse in the NHS for nearly 15 years, where she specialises in cancer care.

She is passionate about her job, having worked in various NHS hospitals and cancer settings around the UK, including Chemotherapy day units and In-patient Oncology wards.

Her most challenging role was a 4 year stint as a Ward Sister on a female Oncology ward. Followed by a different but equally challenging role as a mum, as she took a year off to look after her baby daughter.

Selena now works in the Central Venous Access team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, placing Central lines for Haematology and Oncology patients.

Her Dyslexia is a daily challenge, more than people would realise, but being able to laugh at herself has helped a great deal. She's what's known by her Step Dad as a grafter who always finds a way.
