Shaker Aamer is the last British resident in Guantanamo Bay who remains imprisoned despite having been cleared for release by the Bush and Obama administrations. Shaker’s wife and four children are all British citizens; they live in South London. Shaker has been cleared for release by the Bush and Obama administrations and yet he remains held in Guantanamo Bay with neither charge nor trial.
