Skye McAlpine grew up in Italy, in Venice - the enchanted city that floats on water and has no cars. She moved to England in 2003 to study Latin love poetry and Ancient Greek myths at Oxford University. There, while daydreaming in the library, she met the love of her life. And baked her first cake.
Now happily married, and proud Mamma to one little boy, she lives between her small flat in South London and her family home in Italy. She writes and dabbles still in Latin poetry but mostly she cooks. Colourful, seasonal food that’s nourishing and makes people happy. Simple food with a little of the rustic and a lot of the Italian to it - that's her thing.
