Comedian
Tamar Broadbent is a comedian, singer, actress and award-winning songwriter, who studied English at Bristol University and went on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Her song 'Patrick' was featured on BBC Radio 4's Fresh From the Fringe 2014, a showcase of the best new comedy acts from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also toured internationally, performing her solo comedy shows in destinations such as Adelaide and Lithuania.
Tamar was a finalist in this year's Amused Moose Laugh Off and Funny Women comedy competitions, and her recent gigs include: Glee, Outside The Box, Get Stuffed, Jongleurs, Isle of Wight Festival, Soho Comedy Club, Funhouse Comedy and Backyard Comedy Club. She has been on Lee Nelson's Well Funny People, The Bill and Doctors.
In 2014, Tamar won the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Award, the most prestigious competition in the UK for new musical theatre songwriters, and this summer she directed a musical comedy project at LAMDA. She is now well-known in the world of new musical theatre for her catchy, funny, story songs, and has two musicals in development.
