Tim Fitzhigham

Comedian, author and adventurer

Tim Fitzhigham, FRSA, FRGS, is a multi-award winning comedian, author and adventurer. He holds the record for the longest distance travelled in a paper boat and is the only man to have successfully rowed the English Channel in a bath, an adventure recounted in greater length in his book, All At Sea: One man, one bath tub, one bad idea (2009). He’s also run across deserts in suits of armour, climbed the world’s tallest buildings from the outside, tried arrow catching, bus pulling and run across ice caps barefoot in his pants. On his Radio 4 show, Tim FitzHigham: The Gambler, he tries to win ancient, weird and eccentric bets. He presented Super Human Challenge for CBBC; has been in films directed by Clint Eastwood among others; and his live shows have been Critic’s Choice in most British newspapers. He shares an ancient, falling apart house in East Anglia with chickens, running ducks and several geese who won’t leave the library.
