CEO and founder, Metail

Tom is the CEO and founder of Metail – the revolutionary body shape and garment fit visualisation company that allows users to create their very own personal 3D virtual body more from two simple uploaded photos of yourself, to try clothes on and see how they fit. Tom founded Metail in 2008. Focusing on building cutting-edge technology, Metail has raised money, filed patents and built collaborative R&D relationships with professors at Basel and Cambridge universities. After three years in stealth mode, Metail launched to the public with its first commercial partner Tesco in February 2012.

An Economics graduate from Cambridge, Tom’s career has spanned new media from Sportal to 3 and most recently Inspired Gaming Group where he was Head of Gaming.

Tom has also founded the Cambridge technology start-up recruitment fair Silicon Milkround Cambridge (www.siliconmilkroundcambridge.com) and has been an active member of the UK government's DCMS Think Tank on the Convergence of Media (2008), a Demos working group on technology legislation and London's Tech City's lobbying on the subject.
