Britain faces its most important week since the end of the Second World War.
For generations to come people will look back at the decision we make in the EU referendum. Its impact will be felt over decades, not just years.
Given the momentous nature of the choice before people, I'm angry at the false promises being made by Leave campaigners.
We know it is Labour voters who will decide this referendum. And it is precisely those people who are being knowingly misled with unrealistic and unfunded promises.
For the last six years the likes of Michael Gove, Iain Duncan Smith and Priti Patel have slashed public services - in an attempt to balance the books on the back of the poorest. Yet now they are saying that they would spend billions extra for the NHS, build more schools and still fund every project that the EU is already funding.
This won't happen. Right wing Tories are misleading Labour voters because the day after the referendum they will have no real interest in delivering the things they are currently promising. Labour voters are being promised blank cheques that will bounce.
The only goal of right wing Tories like Gove, Duncan Smith and Patel is to secure their longed-for Tory Brexit, which they will then use to hack away at the workers' rights which they have always been opposed to. Worse still, leaving the EU will lead to further spending cuts - offering the Tory right wing another opportunity to devastate our public services.
It is Labour voters who will feel the impact of leaving the EU the hardest. There are millions of jobs that are linked to our trade with the EU. It is clear that in the event of a Tory Brexit there will be a significant number of job losses and economic turmoil.
As we have seen in previous recessions it is the poorest communities, ones represented by Labour MPs, which feel the downturn for longest. It is not people like Boris Johnson who will feel the impact of leaving the EU - it is Labour voters in places like Barnsley where people are already struggling to make ends meet.
Next week Labour voters shouldn't be fooled by the right wing of the Tory party - the consequences of leaving the EU will be felt by Labour voters most and the pot of gold that the Leave campaign are promising simply doesn't exist.
Let's reject the false claims of Tory Brexiteers and vote next Thursday to remain in the EU.
