Muslims in different parts of the world have been celebrating Eid al-Fitr.
Countries like Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq, Germany and Russia celebrated with the morning prayers and food, while India will start their celebrations on Wednesday.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the month of the holy month of Ramzan when Muslims across the world fast from sunrise to sunset. The ninth month of the lunar Islamic calendar, it is also a celebration of the first revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad.
Eid, which is the first day of the month of Shawwal, is usually marked by the morning prayers followed by celebrations with family.
