Adele is getting over her split from husband Simon Konecki by doing what we all do when we’re fresh out of a breakup – acting like a wilder, younger version of ourselves.

The singer, who got married in 2016, is reportedly on the hunt for new body piercings – and will be enlisting the help of an “A-list piercer” to do so.

And honestly, we stan this behaviour.

While some people decide to do a really extra breakup photoshoot when their relationship breaks down, Adele is channelling most of us in just wanting to do something minor – yet potentially regrettable – to our bodies/wardrobes/lives.

HuffPost UK asked other people to share their own trademark breakup behaviours.

Piercings featured high on the list.

I’ve had two tattoos, a haircut and my belly button pierced within 6 months of my break up!

Oh and I got the piercing too - just because he always said he liked them. I was super petty like that 😂.

Others were all about the new hairstyle (and colour).

Thought this was a good idea (it wasn’t - the red STILL isn’t out of my hair) and let me just tell you it was SO much brighter than the pic. Like, glowing. And not the good kind. pic.twitter.com/3iWnyaM34l

Yep, I decided the best way to get over a breakup was to dye my hair the brightest pink you have ever seen! Safe to say, it did its job of catching everyone’s attention pic.twitter.com/C3FkJwQZ3R

Bleach to the hair. Without fail.

Dying my hair and wearing very high heels 24/7 don’t ask me why. Go Adele!

Haircuts too and spending ridiculous amounts (like £800) on make-up/skin cream. 🤦🏻♀️

Lots of people wanted tattoos.

Apparently I get lots of tattoos whoops

And other coping techniques were a little more niche.

Spending every penny I have saved up during the relationship. Including saving up for an engagement ring and then spending it 6 days later on the deposit for a sports car.

I book a holiday with my best mates to somewhere very far away and beautiful and then post a ton of thirst traps on Instagram x

— Rachel Thompson (@RVT9) April 26, 2019

Had a cry and watched the film 7 days 8 nights with a curry spread across my parents sofa while they were out. It was the end of a hideous breakup so it wasn't too bad an evening.

Shag his mates and get a new handbag 👜
