Adele has been snubbed by Ivor Novello bosses, failing to receive any nominations for this year's awards.
Despite the huge commercial success and critical acclaim of her latest album '25', which was the biggest seller of last year, the singer has not been shortlisted for any gongs at the 2016 ceremony.
Instead, artists like Jess Glynne and Ed Sheeran have been nominated for prizes, which are voted for by composers and songwriters.
However, the 'When We Were Young' could still be with a chance of winning an Ivor Novello this year, as the winners of Outstanding Song Collection and Songwriter Of The Year will both be announced on the day of the ceremony.
Adele previously won the prize for songwriting back in 2012, and also picked up the PRS for Music Most Performed Work award for 'Rolling In The Deep', having been nominated in three other categories.
She has already won four Brit Awards this year, taking home the gongs for British Female Solo Artist, British Album Of The Year, British Single Of The Year and the Global Success Award.
