Lord Sugar, savvy businessman and champion of industry, turned to his beloved Twitter account on Wednesday for some enlightenment.
The former ‘Apprentice’ boss had been bemused after spotting something strange in the street - a smattering of small metal canisters.
Unable to identify the peculiar detritus, Alan turned to his trusty Twitter followers for some answers.
For those who don’t know, they’re gas canisters often used to store gaseous psychoactive substances like nitrous oxide, otherwise known as laughing gas or hippy crack.
Many of us have seen similar sights on the roads of Britain, but in his 69 years on planet Earth Lord Sugar had never found out what they are.
Luckily, the people of Twitter turned out in droves to suggest what they might be.
They weren’t feeling particularly helpful.
Some people were a little more helpful, dropping hints as to what the tiny metal items might be.
But some tweeters also decided to offer up real answers, so Lord Sugar could finally find out the truth.
They are, however, also used for other purposes. Not just those gosh-darn naughty drugs all the kids are using these days.
Yes, they have lots of uses. But, when dumped in the street like that, it’s usually because someone had a big night.
