Police have been given another 24 hours to question 10 men and boys over the death of an officer in Berkshire.
PC Andrew Harper was killed when he was dragged under a vehicle and possibly hit by a police car after being called to a burglary on August 15.
On Monday Thames Valley Police also revealed more details about those arrested.
Among those detained are a 13-year-old, two 16-year-olds and a 30-year-old from Burghfield Common, Berkshire. Two 17-year-olds – one from Bramley, Hampshire and another from Aldermaston, Berkshire – are also among those arrested. The others include an 18-year-old and two 20-year-olds and a 24-year-old.
Pc Harper, 28, had married his wife Lissie just four weeks before his death and relatives described the day as a “dream wedding”.
Shortly after the death was confirmed, Pc Harper’s grandmother Maureen Shrimpton posted a tribute on Facebook.
She wrote: “Just a really horrible day. Our grandson Andrew was killed last night while doing his police work. So proud of him.
“Our love goes to his lovely wife, Mum and Dad, brother and all of his family and friends.”
Pc Harper joined Thames Valley Police as a special constable in 2010 before becoming a police officer a year later, serving in the Roads Policing Proactive Unit based at Abingdon Police Station.
He is the first officer to be killed on duty since March 2017, when unarmed Pc Keith Palmer was stabbed by Khalid Masood during the Westminster Bridge terror attack.
