An America's Cup sailor died on Thursday when a sailboat capsized during practice in the San Francisco Bay.

British double gold medalist Andrew Simpson, 36, was killed when the 72-foot boat capsized at about 1 p.m., according to the Associated Press. One other sailor was hurt in the incident, but his injuries were reportedly not life-threatening.
