The Apple Christmas Advert's Inclusive Message Is Just What 2016 Needs

It tells the story of Frankie, a lonely monster.

This year’s Apple Christmas advert sends a message of openness and inclusivity, and it couldn’t be more timely.

It tells the story of Frankie – Frankenstein’s monster – who appears to have been cooped up in his mountain hut for some time.

When he makes a rare trip into town, he’s greeted by gasps and glares. It’s only after a young girl helps fix one of his lights that the crowd joins him in song.

The advert finishes with the message: “Open your heart to everyone.”

After a divisive US election, it’s guaranteed to tug at the heartstrings.
