Ariana Grande has cancelled all future meet-and-greets for the remainder of her European tour.

The singer had offered fans the opportunity to buy a pre-show meet-and-greet, as well what was dubbed a “soundcheck party” ticket, where audience members could watch her warm up and answer fans’ questions.

However, a statement from tour organisers Live Nation has now confirmed that Ariana will no longer be taking part in either for the remainder of the tour’s European leg, to allow her to “preserve her voice and energy”.

They said in a statement posted on Facebook: “Thanks to increased demand, Ariana is thrilled and humbled to have been able to add extra shows to the tour for her fans. It’s not something she takes for granted.

“These extra months on the road, however, are not only exhilarating but exhausting. Due to the need to preserve her voice and energy, we regret to inform you there will not be a meet-and-greet or Soundcheck Party offered at your show.

“This decision doesn’t come easily and the last thing she would ever want to do is disappoint fans, but something has to give to allow her to continue giving 100% to her performances.”

Live Nation has confirmed that fans who have purchased meet-and-greet and Soundcheck Party packages will be refunded.

Ariana’s representatives had no further comment when contacted by HuffPost UK.

This comes days after Ariana cancelled both the meet-and-greet and Soundcheck Party for her show in Antwerp, Belgium over the weekend, revealing her anxiety and depression had been at an “all-time high”.

Ariana explained: “Time for some honesty. My depression and anxiety have been at an all-time high lately. I have been giving you all I’ve got and trying to push through as hard as I can and mask it.

“Today has been an extra rough one. After a handful of panic attacks, I feel like the wisest decision would be to not do soundcheck party or [meet-and-greet] today and preserve my energy for the show.”

She added: “I don’t want to rush through our time together or seem shaky. I like spending actual time with you and I won’t be able to be present or give you the best of me today.

“I wish I had control over these attacks but as anybody with anxiety or depression understands, sometimes you can only operate on its terms and not your own.”

Since the terror attack at her show in Manchester two years ago, Ariana has been vocal about her mental health struggles, alluding to her anxiety on Sweetener tracks like Breathin and Get Well Soon.

More recently, she shocked fans when she shared images from a recent scan on her Instagram, revealing the physical effects that PTSD have had on her brain.
