A video has surfaced of the moment Arnold Schwarzenegger was dropkicked by a man during a meet and greet event in South Africa.

The Terminator star was meeting fans at the annual Arnold Sports Festival when a man rushes towards him from behind before kicking him in the back.

The shocked 71-year-old stumbles forward, while the attacker is grappled to the floor by the actor’s bodyguards.

Despite the incident, Arnie continued to meet fans before being whisked away minutes later.

The Hollywood star, who was at the event to judge a skipping competition, later tweeted to reassure fans that he was okay.

“Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about,” he shared. “I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realised I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”

It has been claimed that event organisers believe the attacker was a ‘crazed fan’ and that Arnie will not press charges.

A video of the incident later posted by Arnold showed he was not felled by the kick.

And if you have to share the video (I get it), pick a blurry one without whatever he was yelling so he doesn’t get the spotlight.

He wrote: “Do me a favor. Instead of sharing the video of the guy who wants to be famous, watch some of our @ArnoldSports athletes like this young hero proving that fitness is for everyone who deserve to be famous …

Arnie has been making his way around the globe for the event, which is held in several countries and is the world’s largest multi-sport festivals.
