A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Estonia on suspicion of murdering Laureline Garcia-Bertaux whose body was found in a shallow grave in Kew, the Metropolitan Police has said.
The man was arrested after Scotland Yard, in conjunction with the Crown Prosecution Service, issued an European Arrest Warrant.
He was detained in Tallinn and is being held in a police station awaiting extradition proceedings.
French national Garcia-Bertaux, 34, worked in the film industry and had been living in Kew since April last year.
She was reported missing after she did not arrive for work on Tuesday, 5 March.
A day later, officers located a body in a shallow grave in the garden at the victim’s home address in Darell Road.
The Met said: “A murder investigation led by Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command continues apace.”
