Beverley Callard Shares Her Mother-In-Law's Unexpected Reaction To 'Mega Shag' Husband Revelation

While Beverley Callard might be mortified about making a sexual revelation about her husband on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, it seems her mother-in-law is a lot less embarrassed about her son’s prowess in the bedroom.

The Coronation Street star has revealed her husband Jon McEwan’s mum has been boasting about him, after Beverley referred to him as her “mega shag” while on the ITV reality show.

“Jon’s very handsome, he’s a mega shag,” she told her campmates. “He is a mega shag and he dances for me in the kitchen every morning and makes me laugh my socks off.”

Speaking about making the admission during Sunday’s catch-up with the contestants in A Castle Story, Beverley said: “I could not believe it, I was just convinced they’d edit it.

“I was convinced my mother-in-law would never speak to me again because I said that about her son.

“She’s now going round saying, ‘I produced that Mega shag.’

“I can’t believe it, she’s 88.”

Beverley previously admitted she’d “wanted to die” of embarrassment after finding out the moment had made it to air.

“I thought, ‘they are quite bad words, so they will just edit that’,” she told ITV’s Lorraine.

“When Ant and Dec aired the clip for me last night, I wanted to die. I wanted to die.”
