Beyoncé has given her fans a treat on the third anniversary of her album Lemonade, by finally making it available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music.

Until this point, the only streaming service Lemonade was available on was Tidal, owned by Beyoncé’s husband and fellow musician Jay-Z, meaning if non-subscribers wanted to enjoy the album, they had to actually (god forbid) pay for a copy.

Fortunately, after three long years, Beyoncé has blessed fans by finally allowing tracks like Formation and Hold Up to be streamed on the likes of Spotify, and people are more than a bit excited about it…

Beyoncé made reference to Lemonade’s absence from most streaming services last year, on the track NICE – taken from her album with Jay-Z, Everything Is Love – on which she was heard singing: “If I gave two fucks, two fucks about streaming numbers, would have put Lemonade on Spotify.”

Lemonade debuted in April 2016 as a visual album, featuring music collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and James Bay, as well as guest appearances from Serena Williams, Zendaya, her sister Solange and the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

The album quickly caused a huge stir, not just because of its lyrical and visual celebration of black womanhood, but also because many of the songs detailed troubles in her marriage, due to her husband Jay-Z’s apparent infidelity.

It’s been a big week for Beyoncé fans, with the singer debuting her concert film Homecoming on Netflix on Wednesday, as well as an accompanying live album, which included a brand new track.
