Beyoncé has spoken out about the importance of taking time out to look after your mental health amid mounting pressures to be perfect.
"We have to care about our bodies and what we put in them," Beyoncé said in a cover interview for Elle magazine.
"Women have to take the time to focus on our mental health - take time for self, for the spiritual, without feeling guilty or selfish.
"The world will see you the way you see you, and treat you the way you treat yourself."
Beyoncé's new clothing line 'Ivy Park' will drop in Topshop on 14 April.
The range mixes high performance technical sportswear with fashion-led casualwear and centres on sports staples including leggings, crop tops, drop arm tees, sweatshirts and technical jackets.
Speaking about the line, Bey said the ideas of self-love, and of women and girls coming together are the "essence" of the collection, which "celebrates every woman and the body she’s in".
"I called it Ivy Park because a park is our commonality. We can all go there; we’re all welcomed. It’s anywhere we create for ourselves," she explained.
"For me, it’s the place that my drive comes from. I think we all have that place we go to when we need to fight through something, set our goals and accomplish them."
The 34-year-old also revealed that she finds being a self-employed businesswoman both "a burden and a blessing".
"It’s exciting, but having the power to make every final decision and being accountable for them is definitely a burden and a blessing," she said.
"To me, power is making things happen without asking for permission. It’s affecting the way people perceive themselves and the world around them. It’s making people stand up with pride."
The full interview appears in the May issue of ELLE UK, on sale 5 April.
