It’s been an exciting week to be a ‘Big Brother’ fan - and things just got even better, with the release of the first trailer for the new series.
In the past few days alone, viewers have been treated to a look at this year’s revamped eye, as well as a few details about what they can expect from the 17th (yes, 17th!) series of the reality TV juggernaut when it hits our screens this week.
Truly spoiling us, the first 20-second trailer for the reality show has now been unveiled, teasing that “the game is changing” with this year’s series.
The simple clip shows ‘Bit On The Side’ host Rylan Clark-Neal smashing the ‘BB’ eye with a hammer, while presenter of the regular series Emma Willis relaxes in a chair.
It’s all rather cryptic, but a spokesperson for the show recently hinted that things were being dramatically shaken up for the new series, teasing: “From day one, the housemates will be under attack from an unseen ominous dark force that will have a dramatic and divisive effect on the house. Whilst things may appear to be straightforward Big Brother will ensure that no-one will have the entire picture. There may even be deeper connections at work?
The new eye logo - which is split down the middle into one black and one white half - is also said to hold a clue to what viewers should expect when the ‘BB’ house throws open its doors once again.
And as if all that wasn’t exciting enough, when the successor to Chloe Wilburn’s ‘BB’ crown is announced this summer, the doors will be flung open once again, for a whole new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
In short, we’re very excited.
