Boston University Students Fight To Protect Women's Rights In Trump's America With Powerful Photo Project

Last week Donald Trump, a man who said he grabs women “by the pussy”, was elected as President - a result that could have serious consequences for women’s rights in America.

In response, students at Boston University have created an amazingly powerful photo series about the importance of feminism.

The project was created by the university’s frisbee teams. Writing on their Facebook page, the players said: “Though we may look different, think differently, and have lived different lives, we are all equal in our shared humanity.”

“I need feminism because I won’t apologise for having an opinion.”

“I need feminism because women are strong, smart and incredible.”

“I need feminism because X chromosomes should not determine worth.”

“I need feminism because 60% of sexual assaults have gone unreported since 2009.”

“I need feminism because the women in my life have BRILLIANT ideas that cannot be ignored.”

“I need feminism because I shouldn’t have to break a glass ceiling to achieve my goals”.

“I need feminism because I refuse to let my uterus be a political object.”

“I need feminism because we have yet to have a WOMAN president.”

“I need feminism because I’m afraid for my sister in Donald Trump’s America.”

“I need feminism because ‘like a girl’ shouldn’t be an insult.”

“I need feminism because my gender does not determine by abilities on and off the field.”

“I need feminism because women are bossy, but men are bosses.”

“I need feminism because I want to be respected as a male nurse practitioner.”
