Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Manslaughter After Boy Dies In Dog Attack

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a 10-year-old boy was mauled to death by a dog at a holiday park in Cornwall, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Tencreek Holiday Park, in Looe shortly after 5am but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the incident police said a search took place to find the bulldog-type breed and its owner.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested in Saltash at around 8am on Saturday, a police statement said.

The dog was also located which has since been transferred to kennels.

In a tweet, Devon and Cornwall Police said the woman was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control and manslaughter.
