Brexit 50p Coins Melted Down After Yet Another Extension

Some 10 million 50p coins marking the departure of the UK from the European Union have been melted down after another extension to January 2020 was granted. Meanwhile, Boris Johnson’s “Get Ready For Brexit” October 31st campaign has been “paused”, after the Prime Minister spent £100 million putting the controversial slogan across billboards and newspaper adverts.
