Following suit from American agency IMG and their new 'Braun' division, Bridge Models are the first in Britain to have a division representing men of a larger build.
The agency, who also represent plus size women, credit an "increase in the demand for a wider range of men's clothing sizes" for their decision to launch the section.
"It is an exciting time in the industry," Bridge Models said in a statement.
"We are pleased to see that the success of fashion for curvier women has broadened the debate and brands are seeing the potential to reach out to the male market as well.
"With this comes the demand for a new scope of male models. As an agency keen to promote diversity, this is something that we have decided to enter in to and it is great to be exploring the possibilities with our clients."
