British Airways told The Huffington Post UK a technical issue occurred once the flight from London Heathrow landed.

A spokesperson said: “The aircraft landed safely, and customers disembarked using steps after a technical issue on the taxiway.

“The safety and security of our customers and crew are always our top priority.”

Engineers are currently checking the plane involved. The return flight to London will be undertaken by another aircraft.

With a population of only six thousand, Billund is best known as the home of Lego Group’s global headquarters.
