Bruce Forsyth 'Too Sick To Support Wife Wilnelia At Launch Event'

The former 'Strictly' host is still recovering from his surgery last year.

Bruce Forsyth's health is causing concern for his friends and family, with reports that the show business veteran is too unwell to attend his beloved wife Wilnelia's big do this week.

The 88-year-old star underwent surgery last November following a fall, and has continued to recover at home ever since.

He was too unwell to attend his close friend Ronnie Corbett's funeral in April, and now it emerges he will not be able to join Wilnelia for the launch of her range of candles, due to take place on Wednesday at London's Fortnum & Mason store.

In April, his manager had said he was hopeful Sir Bruce would be up and about again in a few weeks, but the Sun reports he continues to struggle, with "mobility issues".

Now, the newspaper quotes a source, saying there is no fresh cause for concern, just a delay in the recovery process.

“Recovering from a major operation is taking longer than anticipated.

“His health hasn’t deteriorated any further and we’re incredibly positive about him being about soon.

“We just need to be careful.”

Sir Bruce has been married to former Miss World Wilnelia since 1983 . They have a son, together with his five daughters from previous marriages.
