Caroline Flack’s boyfriend Lewis Burton has spoken out after pictures were published supposedly showing the scene of her alleged assault.
Last month, the Love Island presenter was arrested and charged with assault by beating following a domestic incident at her London home, which she shares with Lewis.
Appearing in court just before Christmas, Caroline pleaded not guilty to assault, and while the prosecution claimed that Lewis had “received significant injury to his head” the couple both denied reports that she had hit him with a lamp.
Late on Tuesday night, The Sun published photos which they claimed showed “the aftermath of the alleged incident”, though Lewis has spoken out on Instagram to brand the reports “bullshit”.
“This isn’t my blood,” he wrote. “And I didn’t get hit over the head with a lamp. Can everyone stop now?”
Alongside a photo of himself and Caroline, he added: “I love this girl more than anything no 1 knows what’s going on or what’s happened.
“She is fucking harmless and the most amazing person I have ever met.”
HuffPost UK has contacted Caroline Flack’s representatives for comment.
The day after her trial, Caroline revealed that she had been advised against using social media for the foreseeable future, writing on Instagram: “I’m a human being at the end of the day and I’m not going to be silenced when I have a story to tell and a life to keep going with...
“I’m taking some time out to get feeling better and learn some lessons from situations I’ve got myself in to. I have nothing but love to give and best wishes for everyone.”
Last week, Caroline was pictured at Heathrow airport, amid reports she was flying to LA by herself.
